Dillon Environmental, LLC

Dillon Environmental, LLC leverages the founder’s 40-years of experience. His active duty Air Force career began in 1983 as a Logistics Supply Specialist managing a wide range of commodities including Hazardous Materials. In 1994, while stationed at RAF Lakenheath, England, he was asked to lead an initiative to establish the first Hazardous Material Pharmacy (HAZMART) in U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE). As a result of his success implementing this program, he was selected as the command lead USAFE representative to attend the inaugural 1995 United States Air Force Hazardous Material Pharmacy Roles and Mission Workshop. Working this program provided an introduction to hazardous waste management and environmental compliance. He completed an Oklahoma State University Hazardous Material Management Certification course and over the next few years completed various specialized training courses in Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements, HAZWOPER, ECAMP Team Training, Advanced Hazardous Waste, and Environmental Quality Sampling. During his final years of active duty service, he was a core member of installation HMMP Teams and served as an auditor on numerous internal and external Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Monitoring Program (ESHOCAMP) inspections.

Upon his retirement from the USAF in 2003, he began his new career as a contractor supporting the newly awarded Air Combat Command (ACC) Hazardous Material Pharmacy (HAZMART) and 90-Day Hazardous Waste Accumulation Point” contract. This contract provided on-site hazardous material, hazardous waste, industrial recycling, and environmental compliance support to 14 ACC installations. During his tenure as the Reginal/Site Manager at Davis-Monthan AFB, both external Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Monitoring Program (ESOHCAMP) inspections produced "Benchmark" ratings in Hazardous Waste Management. In 2007, recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), he was invited by the Institute of Hazardous Material Management (IHMM) to participate as an item writer for their new Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner credential.

During his 20 years as a federal contractor, Mr. Dillon has served as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Subsidiary General Manager, and Director of Environmental Services for a Small Business Unit comprised of multiple subsidiaries. He has successfully executed more than 100 government contracts for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal Agencies. Government contracts include oversight and management of USAF and USACE contracts providing hazardous material “HAZMART” support to 22 installations and oversight and management of on-site Installation Hazardous Materials Program (IHMP) and Hazardous Waste support under AFCEC Fence-to-Fence contracts at another 20 installations.
